Helmand’s Department of Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs, Sheikh Maulvi Noor Mohammad Faizan told Bakhtar Agency that at the end of the Jirga, both families gave full authority to the mediators to end the dispute and along with reconciliation between the two sides, it was decided to pay about one million Afghanis to the family of the deceased person, which amount was also paid.
At the same time, the participants of the Jirga emphasized the continuation of the joint efforts of the tribal leaders, scholars and related institutions for the peaceful resolution of such conflicts and asked the two families to maintain their relations on the basis of Islamic brotherhood, unity and mutual respect.
