A 62-year-old man was shot and killed in Morvant on Tuesday night, the second shooting in the area in as many days.
Police said officers responded to reports of gunshots in Second Caledonia around 10.30 p.m. and found Steve Griffith’s body in a track.
A District Medical Officer was called and pronounced Griffith dead at the scene.
Investigators found three live rounds of 5.56 ammunition, four spent 5.56 shell casings and four spent 9mm shell casings.
The killing came a day after 22-year-old Tylan Hinkson of Redwood Street, Morvant, was shot dead near Second Caledonia Road, in the vicinity of Juman.
Hinkson was found on the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers of the Region II Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations into both killings.
