Below is the CEO’S address:
“Reset and Recover: Your Path Back to Financial Freedom”
Greetings, fellow members of the
National Co-operative Credit Union Ltd.
As we observe Delinquency Awareness Month,
under the theme:
“Reset and Recover:
Your Path Back to Financial Freedom,”
I want to speak directly to you, our members, about something that affects every one of us.
Keeping your loan commitments is important not only to you, but also to the strength of your Credit Union.
When you repay your loan on time, you are doing more than meeting a financial obligation.
You are helping to keep NCCU financially strong.
Your repayments allow us to continue lending to other members, invest in better products and services, and create opportunities
that benefit our entire membership.
This becomes even more important as we move towards our Member Patronage Refund Programme.
When NCCU performs well, and our members borrow and repay responsibly, we strengthen our ability to return value to you — our members.
That is the power of the co-operative model.
You participate.
You contribute.
Your Credit Union grows.
And that strength can come back to you.
But we also understand that life happens.
Income can change.
Unexpected expenses arise.
Emergencies occur.
And sometimes, despite our best intentions, a payment is missed.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, my message to you is simple:
Don’t disappear.
And don’t wait for the problem to get bigger.
Come in and talk to us.
Let us understand your circumstances.
Where assistance is available and you are eligible, let us explore an appropriate way forward together.
Our objective is not simply to collect.
We want to help our members reset, recover, and move forward responsibly.
But this requires communication, cooperation and partnership
between you and your Credit Union.
So, during Delinquency Awareness Month, remember:
Delinquency is everyone’s business.
Know what you owe.
Know when your payments are due.
Make your payments on time.
And if you are experiencing challenges, reconnect with NCCU.
Your fresh start can begin with one conversation.
Together, let us Reset and Recover, and continue building a stronger NCCU that serves us today, creates opportunities for tomorrow, and returns greater value to all our members.
Thank you for continuing to place your trust in NCCU.
And may God continue to bless you and your families.
Thank you.
