The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is investigating a series of bomb threats reported at eight locations across Trinidad on Wednesday.
The TTPS said it received seven reports through different mediums, concerning the Arima, Princes Town, Chaguanas, Siparia and Sangre Grande Magistrates’ Courts, Kent House, Valpark Shopping Plaza and a location in San Fernando.
Police immediately activated security protocols, heightened their security posture and deployed officers to conduct checks at the affected locations.
At Kent House on Long Circular Road, Maraval, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government said a bomb threat was received shortly after midday.
The building was evacuated, with staff and tenants directed to leave in an orderly manner.
First responders and emergency personnel are at the location, while security and investigative measures are underway.
The Ministry said Kent House will remain closed for the rest of Wednesday and is advising members of the public not to visit the premises.
The TTPS is advising people to remain calm, avoid areas where police operations are taking place and follow the directions of law-enforcement personnel.
Police have not said whether the threats are connected, and no explosive device has been reported found.
