Professional NASCAR driver Rajah Caruth received a hero’s welcome in Barrouallie yesterday, August 13,2026 returning to his roots during an emotional homecoming ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Rajah shared how much it meant to return to the island, noting that he grew up hearing many stories from his mother, who is of Vincentian descent.
“…And it’s great because the last time I was here, I really don’t remember,” Rajah told the crowd. “I was four or five years old, so I’m excited to create some new memories as an adult and have a great time with my extended family and see all of what St. Vincent has to offer, and hopefully get more people from the states to come down here and have a great trip like we’re about to have.”
