PERTH: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Band secured first place overall in Category 4B at the World Pipe Band Championships held in Perth, Scotland.
The band also claimed first place in the Marching Group and second place in the Drum Group, an achievement that reflects its high artistic standards and professionalism at international events.
The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Band also continued its strong performance at the World Pipe Band Championships in Perth, securing second place in Grade 3B and fourth place overall in the combined Grade 3A and 3B standings.
The band also swept the top three positions in the individual Drum Major competition. Warrant Officer2 Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri took first place, followed by Staff Sergeant Mahmoud bin Yousuf al Sinani in second place and Captain Hamid bin Sulaiman al Ghafri in third.
The achievement reflects the band’s high level of musical proficiency, discipline and skill, reaffirming the Sultanate of Oman’s distinguished presence at international military music events.
