In order to rebuild the squad and restore technical stability

The Algerian Football Federation is rushing to pump new blood into the ranks of the first national team, as part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at rebuilding the squad and restoring technical stability, following the disappointing participation in the 2026 World Cup finals. In this context, those in charge of football affairs in the country have set their sights on a dual goal of attracting two promising talents who will shine in the Italian League.
The “Competition” sports newspaper revealed that the federation is planning to settle the files of Modena club goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Eidani and Inter Milan midfielder Giannis Masoulin. FAF officials, headed by Walid Sadi, are very optimistic about the possibility of finalizing the approval of Al-Eidani (22 years old), who has expressed a clear desire to defend the “green” colors, despite his previous participations with the Swiss national teams in the youth categories.
The Federal Authority’s bets do not stop at pumping new blood into the goalkeeper only, but the administration is betting on Al-Eidani to be the winning card and the main key to convincing his former colleague Massoulin to choose international representation for Algeria and prefer him to the French national team. FAF is taking advantage of the close relationship between the players, in addition to the dwindling chances of the Inter player joining the first French squad during the current period.
Massouline had previously hesitated and rejected an official offer from the Algerian Federation guaranteeing the possibility of his being on the list participating in the 2026 World Cup, preferring to wait to evaluate his international future. However, the football body returns today with a new proposal and a future vision, betting on the sports project and the influence of Al-Eidani to resolve this double deal, which would secure the midfield and goalkeeping lines with young names whose contributions extend for years to come.
