
Lifeguard Dies After Medical Emergency at Fort James Beach
A medical emergency at Fort James Beach ended in tragedy when a young lifeguard died after becoming ill while on duty in the water.
Initial reports indicate that other lifeguards noticed he was in distress and immediately went to his assistance. They brought him ashore and administered CPR while emergency medical personnel were called.
Emergency Medical Services personnel continued efforts to revive him at the scene before transporting him to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he was later pronounced dead.
