The Dominica boys’ volleyball team made an impressive start to its campaign at the 2026 Windward Islands School Games (WISG), defeating St. Vincent and the Grenadines in straight sets, according to the Dominica Sports Division.
Team Dominica secured the victory 3-0, winning 25-23, 25-11 and 25-16 to record a commanding opening performance at the regional competition.
After a closely contested first set, the Dominican players took control of the match, dominating the second and third sets to complete the sweep.
In congratulating the team, the Dominica Sports Division praised the players for their determination and commitment on the court.
“You played your hearts out and made us proud — keep pushing, keep believing, keep going Team Dominica!” the Division said in a social media post.
The convincing win gives Dominica a strong start as the team continues its campaign at the 2026 Windward Islands School Games, where student-athletes from across the Windward Islands are competing in a range of sporting disciplines.
