
Jasmine Schofield sets new national record for Dominica in the 200m freestyle at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland at a time of 2:19.16.
This new record is also a new personal best record which surpasses her previous record of 2:19.66.
Schofield is also looking forward to participating in the 100m freestyle event tomorrow and 50m freestyle scheduled in a few days time.
The commonwealth games are held every 4 years and feature the top athletes from participating Commonwealth countries. Schofield is an Olympic Dominican swimmer and the daughter of Francilia Agar Schofield who also represented Dominica at the 2000 Sydney Olympic games.
