The Rotary Club of Dominica has announced that it will once again host the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity team for its 31st mission to the island, taking place from May 11 to May 14, 2026.
Over those four days, eye care clinics will be set up at different locations to make it easier for people across various communities to access services, according to a press release by the Club.
The mission kicks off on Monday, May 11 at Portsmouth Hospital, then moves to the St. Joseph Health Centre on Tuesday, May 12.
On Wednesday, May 13, the clinic will be held at the Goodwill Parish Hall, serving residents from Grand Bay to Pointe Michel, and it will return to the same venue on Thursday, May 14 to accommodate communities from Mahaut to Newtown.
For members of the public who are planning to attend, organizers are asking that you first visit your nearest health centre for pre-screening. As per the release, this step is important because only individuals who have been pre-screened and given a number will be seen at the VOSH clinic.
It added that the system is in place to keep things organized and ensure that as many people as possible can receive care during the mission.
The Rotary Club is encouraging interested individuals to “complete the pre-screening process early.”
