The accident occurred around 5:30 am on July 11 and, according to the preliminary investigations of the National Police, The driver is believed to have fallen asleep while driving.losing control of the unit.

Due to the force of the impact, the vehicle was destroyed, with part of the roof removed. Its occupants, a man and a woman between 30 and 35 years old were trapped between the irons of the structure.
Personnel of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru (CGBVP) and the National Police They traveled to the scene to carry out relief work.which required the use of specialized equipment for 35 minutes.

The Chief of Firefighters Operations, Miguel Gallegos, explained that the rescue was complicated by the position of the victims, detailing that the woman was found in a fetal position in the back seat, with part of the car’s structure on its body.
“The boy was with his back backwards. But his arm was trapped because he was backwards. He has had several cuts, not of mortal necessity. “We lifted the structure and were able to remove the arm.”said.

After being rescued alive, The two injured were taken by ambulance to the Casimiro Ulloa Hospital. to receive the corresponding medical attention for the injuries suffered.
The road accident generated high traffic congestion for the units traveling from Chorrillos heading north, since the automobile remained on the runway during the emergency work and only one lane was enabled.
