He took to the stage close to 5:00 a.m as the sun rose in the east, performing at No 15. However, Jasper ‘Jasper YMC’ Alexander, with his ”Rum Island”, did not disappoint his fans who waited until the dawn to see him perform. He delivered an electrifying performance that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
He earned the judges’ nod with 373 points to take the 2026 Soca Monarch title- no surprise to many- as he has, within the last few weeks, been captivating audiences in the various Rural Carnival shows.
The Sion Hill resident previously secured the All Windwards Soca Monarch crown during the rural carnival season.
Moments after taking the crown to Sion Hill as he celebrated in the streets Jasper expressed his appreciation to everyone who supported him on his “journey to becoming the Soca Monarch King”.
