The participants of the meeting emphasized on the implementation of the provisions of the said decree, on raising the level of public awareness in the society, on the fight against the harmful effects of drugs and on the contribution of the people in fulfilling social responsibilities.
The head of information and culture of Balkh Maulvi Mohammadullah Zarar spoke about the importance of implementing the decree of the 17th edition of the Supreme Leader Amirul Momineen Hufzallah and said that raising public awareness and the cooperation of different sections of the society is necessary to realize the goals of the said decree.
He also emphasized on increasing people’s awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and the contribution of the people in supporting the Islamic system.
At the same time, a number of religious scholars and tribal leaders of Balkh also discussed the implementation of the provisions of the said decree and emphasized the cooperation of the people with the authorities for the prevention of drugs, fulfilling social responsibilities and the stability and development of the country.
In the other part of the meeting, the residents of Balkh also praised Dr. Shamsul Rahman Tani, who came from Khost province to the north of the country and has performed free surgery on hundreds of patients.
The participants appreciated his health services and called his efforts in the treatment of patients an excellent example of service for the citizens.
