Today, at 19:00, the 35th mass protest is held, where citizens demand the departure of the government and the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Today’s protest is nationwide, where the diaspora is expected to be in Tirana in support of the 35-day revolt. The motorcades have started since yesterday, while the police have declared that every Albanian citizen who will enter the territory these days will be subjected to a thorough check. This was seen as an attempt to prevent the diaspora from being part of the protest in Tirana.
The gathering of protesters is expected to start in “Skënderbej” square, while then the march will continue towards the Prime Minister’s building, where the protesters will express their demands.
The main demand of the protest remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The organizers have stated that the protests will continue until the fulfillment of this request, inviting citizens to participate en masse in what is described as the 34th protest in a row.
“You have come to the end”, is the message that the organizers conveyed in their call for participation in the protest.
