According to Bakhtar News Agency, in this meeting, there was a discussion and exchange of views on the strengthening of the railway projects between Afghanistan and Iran, technical coordination, practical ways and solutions to existing challenges.
In this meeting, the governor of Herat said that the development of the railway has strategic value in terms of transport, trade and transit and the regional administration is ready to fully cooperate in this regard.
He added that the development of the railway will play an important role in the growth of trade, increase in transit, creation of job opportunities and strengthening of Afghanistan’s economic relations with regional countries.
On the other hand, the delegation of Iran Railway Company expressed its gratitude for the cooperation of Herat regional administration and expressed the assurance of full cooperation for the continuation and further development of joint projects.
