Roderick John hit his second century for the 2026 season of the National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition, when he slammed 101 runs from 34 balls last Saturday, June 27, for Bank of SVG All Stars versus Duck Squad United at the Dauphine Playing Field.
John’s knock saw his team amassing 196 for 3 in 12 overs in a match that was reduced because of a late start.
Asquith Mapp, 48 not out, also helped All Stars’ total.
Bowling for Duck Squad United, Vernardo Primus took 2 for 42.
In reply, Duck Squad United reached 61 for 5 in 12 overs; Jabari Guy made 28 not out.
Courtney Mc Dowald 3 for 8, and Kelly Murray 2 for 3, ensured All Stars won by 135 runs.
In match two on Saturday, Sion Hill Tallawah won by 25 runs over AIA Reload.
Sion Hill Tallawah made an under-par 76 all out in 11.4 overs, with Shamic Roberts scoring 21.
Adolph Adams 2 for 4, and Jerando Jardine 2 for 7, were AIA Reload’s most successful bowlers. In reply, AIA Reload made 51 all out in 10 overs, as Shamic Roberts scalped 3 for 7, Shawn Williams 3 for 17 and Teroy Roberts 2 for 15.
On Sunday, June 28, Owia Strikers had a double win, while Greiggs Young Stars was also victorious in their outing.
Owia Strikers beat Fairbaine United Old Prink by eight wickets.
Old Prink was dismissed for 34 in 11.4 overs.
Desron Maloney 3 for 4, was Owia Striker’s most successful wins.
Owia Strikers in response, 38 for 2 in 3.2 overs Bowling for Fairban United Old Prink, Evered Glasgow took 2 for 21.
Owia Strikers turned up again to beat Dr Thomas Injectors by seven wickets.
Dr Thomas Injectors batted first and made 153 for 9 in 20 overs, with Bradley Richards the lead scorer with 67.
Nickron Williams 4 for 37 and Sealron Williams 2 for 21, and Denson Hoyte- 2 for 30, were the most successful bowlers.
Owia Strikers took 15.2 overs to respond with 156 for 3.
