Weather conditions remain unstable throughout the Paraguayan territory and precipitation and thunderstorms are expected again today. There is a weather alert in force for nine departments due to possible “severe weather phenomena” this morning.
In its forecast this Thursday, the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology announces a cool to cold day with mostly cloudy skies, southerly winds, scattered rains in most of the country – including Assumption– and thunderstorms in several areas of the center, south and east.
Since around 4:00 today an alert for possible “severe weather phenomena” -“moderate to heavy” rains and thunderstorms- to nine departments of the Eastern Region: San Pedro, Cordillera, Guairá, Caaguazú, Caazapá, Itapúa, Paraguarí, Alto Paraná and Central.
It is expected that weather conditions will improve in the coming days. Tomorrow, Friday, only scattered rains would be recorded in some areas of the north of the country and on Saturday there would no longer be any rainfall in Paraguay.
The cold intensifies
In contrast, the temperature drops again after a slight rise. Today they were announced minimums of 10 degrees Celsius in Asunción13 in Ciudad del Este, 9 in Encarnación and up to 15 in Chaco, with maximums of between 14 and 23 degrees.

The indices would drop even further in the coming days, with maximums of 7 degrees tomorrow and Saturday in Asunción, and up to 4 degrees in the south of the country.
