by Riccardo Burigana “Transformative ecumenism and the struggle for the land: challenges and horizons”: this is the theme of the Latin American course on ecumenism and interreligious dialogue organized by the Ecumenical Center of Services for Evangelization and Popular Education (Ceseep) from 2 to 10 July. Ceseep, which is based in São Paulo, was founded in 1982, when Brazil was still under a regime of military dictatorship, with the aim of promoting ecumenical and interreligious dialogue according to the letter and spirit of the Second Vatican Council, which still constitutes a precious source, as the Brazilian theologian José Oscar Beozzo also recently recalled.
