The General Directorate of Public Service and Administrative Reform has begun the process of auditing the files of the candidates who participated in the national competition for external employment of teachers in the three educational stages of the education sector for the year 2025, in a digital format for the first time in the history of the competitions, as the lists of successful candidates and even those who failed are currently being reviewed and monitored through a strict legal and administrative review before final approval, in order to achieve transparency.
In detail, Al-Shorouk sources highlighted that the interests of the education directorates of the relevant states have completed their work, which is to review the candidates’ grades resulting from studying the files after evaluating them based on an official and approved scoring scale, because the competition was programmed on the basis of certificates, while also subjecting the “oral interview” points, which were conducted with specialized selection committees, to careful and comprehensive monitoring.
In addition, the same education directorate departments sent the candidates’ records to the General Directorate of Public Service and Administrative Reform, which in turn began implementing comprehensive auditing procedures and measures, or what is known as “tribal oversight” of the files of one million and 65 thousand candidates, so that the principles of fairness and equal opportunities for all are achieved, to preserve full rights, especially since the matter relates to the employment of future professors.
On this basis, the competent public office services are currently carrying out several tasks and responsibilities at the same time, and the matter is, first, to ensure the authenticity of the documents submitted, by verifying that the certificates and academic qualifications deposited electronically by those concerned are real, not forged, and conform to what is legally required.
In addition, the same departments also ensure precisely that the candidate’s certificate is fully compatible with the specialization required for employment (i.e., the school subject), which is a prerequisite for completing employment, in addition to fully engaging in reviewing the grades obtained, whether after completing the study of the files or obtained in the “oral interview,” while taking care to evaluate the averages and calculate the professional experience points that must be an indicator of them, in order to ensure that mistakes are not made that may be difficult to review in the future.
In addition, the same departments are keen to verify the administrative and legal status of the candidates, to ensure that those concerned are not subject to any fourth-degree administrative punishment (such as dismissal from work), especially since there is a significant category of participants who are employees of public institutions and participated in the competition out of a desire to change jobs and join the rank of professor, as there is no legal impediment preventing them from being employed in the sector.
It is noteworthy that one million and 65 thousand candidates participated in the national competition for external employment to join the rank of “first division” professor in one of the three educational stages, which was organized on the basis of certificates for the year 2025, to compete for more than 64 thousand stable work positions, with the results being announced simultaneously across all states of the country in order to preserve transparency.
