According to Jamjam reporter, the investigation of this case has been on the agenda of the criminal police of the capital since the last days of May 1402, at the same time as the suspicious death of a young man in one of the hospitals south of Tehran. Investigations showed that he was killed by a machete blow. After being dispatched to the scene of the deadly conflict and conducting a local investigation, the officers found out that the perpetrator of the crime was a neighbor of the victim named Shahab, who was arrested after a few days of running away. After being transferred to the Tehran police, he made contradictory statements. Later, the officers managed to arrest his two accomplices. In the investigation, it was found out that these two people, who were brothers, saw Shahab fighting while passing through the neighborhood on the night of the incident. According to them, Shahab attacked the victim with a machete and gave him a fatal blow.
When Shahab found out that his accomplices had revealed the secret of the crime, he opened his mouth to confess and said: “I was drunk that night, I was not in a good mood and I was committing suicide.” This caused the victim to object to my behavior and we got into a fight. Then my friends joined this fight. “I took a machete from the house and threw it at my neighbor, which killed him.”
After completing the investigation, the case was sent to the second branch of the criminal court of one province of Tehran with the issuance of a summons. The victim’s mother, who was the sole guardian, demanded revenge for the killer. At the end of the trial, the judges issued a sentence of retribution for the perpetrator and imprisonment for his two accomplices. This decision was approved by the 49th branch of the Supreme Court and sent to the first branch of Tehran Criminal Court for implementation.
Rouhanizadeh, the judge of the first branch of the Tehran Criminal Prosecutor’s Office, confirming this news, told JamJam: “The imprisoned man was under the sentence of retribution and went to the gallows once in these years, but that day, the execution of the sentence was stopped because the victim’s mother did not show up in the prison. The peace and reconciliation meeting was held on Tuesday, one day before Tasuai Hosseini, in the first branch of the execution of sentences. After 90 minutes of conversation, the victim’s mother suddenly announced: “I will spare my son’s blood without any expectations.”
Judge Rouhanizadeh continued: The victim’s mother declared that she did not want the murderer’s three children to grow up without a father. Therefore, out of respect for the leader of the martyrs, he forgives the prisoner’s mistake and forgives him so that he will not be retaliated against. He hopes that after his release, he will follow the path of Imam Hussain (a.s.) as his life’s work and will not go to the wrong path and build a right life for his wife and three children.
