Although the prosecutor’s office asked Šarūnas Česna to pay 10,000 EUR fine and a three-year ban from working in the civil service, the court limited itself to 6 thousand. EUR fine and additional punitive measures – prohibition to work in the civil service – were not applied.
This decision can still be appealed.
The mayor of Kaišiadorių district was accused of abuse of office, forgery of documents and fraud in the case.
