There is a power cut in Uummannaq, reports Nukissiorfiit.

Greenland Police confirms to Sermitsiaq that there is currently a fire in the power plant in Uummannaq.
Head of duty at the Greenland Police, Aputsiaq Hansen, calls on citizens of Uummannaq to respect roadblocks that were set up some time ago.
– We received the report not so long ago. We already have the police and the fire department at the power station in Uummannaq now. We are working to put out the fire, says Aputsiaq Hansen.
– We cannot say more about the case, as the task is ongoing, he says.
Nukissiorfiit reports on his Facebook page that there is a power cut in Uummannaq.
Can affect connections to mobile and network
– This has led to some smoke development. No one has been injured, and Nukissiorfiit is working with the emergency services on the situation, Nukissiorfiit says in an update at 1:20 p.m.
Tusass reports on its operational information on its website that the power outage in Uummannaq may mean that connections in the city may become unstable, but that the city’s connections are currently running on emergency generators.
Avannaata Kommmunia’s office in Uummannaq is closed for the rest of the day due to the fire.
The police are also urging citizens to keep doors and windows closed, as there is a lot of smoke in the area.
