The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council will take place on September 11 in Ashgabat, the CIS Executive Committee press service reported.
On June 26, the 110th meeting of the Economic Council was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamurad Geldymuradov.
The heads of delegations from the Commonwealth countries discussed issues covering various areas of economic cooperation among CIS member states.
The CIS Economic Council is the main executive body ensuring the implementation of agreements adopted within the Commonwealth, as well as decisions of the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government on the formation and functioning of the free trade zone and socio-economic cooperation. The Economic Council is composed of deputy heads of government of the Commonwealth countries.
