An extraordinary day in the life of Neringa Čereškevičienė, the soul of “Tele Bim-Bam”! | Names

Neringa became famous with the extremely popular show “Tele Bim-Bam” in the past. She was its creator and presenter, as well as a composer and performer of children’s songs.

Back in 2020, speaking with 15 minutes the woman admitted that thanks to the famous “Tele bim bam” show, kindergarten and school appeared in her life, but only after about 25 years, she finally discovered her favorite hobby and inner peace. Then she accepted the offer to participate in the project “Lithuanian talents. Super children”.

“I thought that although I haven’t been on television for a long time, my life continues to be all about children. I founded the Tele-Bim-Bam kindergarten and the Upė elementary school, so my holidays and everyday life are together with my children. That’s why I thought it might be interesting to remember that life on television,” said the former presenter with a smile.

    N. Čereskevičienė herself is a mother of three children. And although she has now retired from the world of hosting events and entertainment, she does not hide that there was a time when she could devote a little less time to her family due to work.

Neringa assures that after leaving the world of entertainment, she followed the only philosophy – “Everything that happens in life, happens for a reason”. Having given most of her life to television, she believes that she neither wants nor can give it up.

“I graduated from television directing and acting, so it was a job according to the specialty I acquired. Of course, later there was a period of calmness, I looked for myself in other activities. The “Tele bim bam” kindergarten, which I founded 16 years ago. He waited and matured in me for a long time. But there was no time for that during work on television. It was only later that it blended beautifully into our nursery. And then, when the children grew up, there was a need to establish a primary school.

Then came serious daily employment. Like I said, when one door closes, another one opens. I can confirm this statement. It is important to search and listen to your heart, what you want now. Five or six years ago I really didn’t want any TV, and now I think why not. And this move paid off,” says Neringa about her time on television.

    Personal life and unusual hobby

However, the presenter, who retired from the TV show at that time, was not too sad, because soon a new hobby appeared in her life – she became interested in stones. After each trip abroad or to some region of Lithuania, another pebble appeared in the yard of the Neringa family.

“There are more and more of them and I don’t know what to do with them. There are stones from rivers and lakes, the kind that were lying under beautiful trees, oaks, from the foot of the hill. Well, each stone has its own name. And now even children from school have started bringing stones to me. When they go on a trip, they already know that they need to bring a pebble to Neringa.

I already have from Jordan, Italy, maybe even the whole world. I would definitely be the queen of rocks right now. This is my hobby, I like to look at them, I like to put them, rearrange them. Maybe they are also intended for relaxation and meditation. This is something I couldn’t afford in my busy TV life,” smiles the former host of the Tele bim bam show.

Now, N. Čereskevičienė is engaged in her favorite activities, enjoys beautiful moments with her family and does not pose major challenges to herself in life, she simply enjoys life.

“I have a life, I live for the day and if there is any activity that catches my eye or my heart that day, at that moment, I’m always ready to accept it. After my TV life, I’ve learned to enjoy the moment, not to plan much, just enjoy the moment.”

The years are still flying by. You need to watch, watch growing children, talk to them. In fact, we are not only parents and children, but we are also friends. I don’t set big challenges for myself. And especially when it concerns public life, television. But I always say, never say never and we’ll see what happens”, says Neringa happily.

After talking about the incredible changes in the woman’s appearance, she assures that various cocktails or diets have not been in her life for a long time, and weight changes are no longer relevant to her. The presenter admits that her life changed drastically when she gave up meat more than 10 years ago.

“I have become significantly calmer. Inner peace and harmony dictates a person’s appearance. I would like to age naturally. Our body betrays how you live at that time. If you live without bad habits, enjoy life, the people around you, whether you like it or not, it is reflected in the body. It is really better than any self-indulgence or artificial supplements.”

Everyone chooses in their own way. And I chose a calmer and more meaningful path. After all, working with children makes you young. You are filled with youthful energy, you share it with children, you immerse yourself in their world. And it is completely different there – there are games, real emotions. The certainty of children encourages us to live a new life, to enjoy together with them. That’s probably why it shows on me,” 15 minutes N. Čereskevičienė opened with a smile.
