The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, met with the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Khalid bin Hilal Al-Ma’awali, the First Deputy Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Hamid Al-Tayer, and the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi House of Representatives, Adnan Al-Dulaimi, as part of the agenda of his participation in the conference of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. During the meetings, ways of enhancing parliamentary cooperation and exchanging experiences were discussed, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest, and ensuring their strengthening in various fields.
During his meeting with the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, the judge stressed the depth of the fraternal and historical relations between Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman, and the care and attention they receive from His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, stressing the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation in a way that serves the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
During his meeting with the Vice President of the UAE Federal Council, the judge also stressed the strength of Jordanian-Emirati relations, which are based on the close fraternal ties between His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing Jordan’s constant keenness to strengthen parliamentary cooperation and develop the distinguished relations between the two countries for the benefit and common interest of the two brotherly peoples.
During his meeting with the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Al-Qadi stressed Jordan’s constant keenness to strengthen parliamentary cooperation with brotherly Iraq, in a way that contributes to the development of bilateral relations, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on issues of common interest, in a way that achieves common interests and benefits the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
As part of the conference agenda, representatives: Atallah Al-Hunaiti, Muhammad Al-Sabaila, Mahmoud Al-Naimat, Adnan Mashouqa, and Al-Ain Omar Al-Ayasra participated in the work of the specialized committees of the Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which are: Permanent Palestine, the Committee for Muslim Minorities and Communities, the Committee for Cultural and Legal Affairs, the Committee for Economic and Environmental Affairs, and the Committee for Human Rights, Women and the Family.
Representative Hussein Krishan was chosen as a member of the Permanent Committee for Political Affairs and Foreign Relations, Representative Muhammad Bani Melhem was chosen as a member of the Permanent Committee for Cultural Affairs and Interfaith Dialogue, and Representatives Nimr Al-Sulaihat and Al-Ain Ghazi Al-Sarhan were chosen as members of the Permanent Committee of the Union.
