Henri likes it hot. At least the nine-year-old mixed-breed male from Beles seems to be resistant to the heat. And this despite the fact that the actual dog days are yet to come. They usually start on July 23rd and last until August 23rd. And they are traditionally considered the hottest time of the year. But what does traditional mean here? The name comes from the constellation “Great Dog”. The highest temperatures of more than 35 degrees Celsius mostly occurred between the two dates – the dog days, in Latin “dies caniculares”, hence the term “canicule”.
