The story of “Sarkhdar” is about Maziar, a committed and family-friendly forester who faces complex challenges and events in the way of protecting Sarkhdar forests due to the conspiracy of wood smugglers and land grabbers as well as family problems. The confrontation between defenders of natural resources and profiteers forms the main axis of the narrative of this series.
In this series, Ammar Tafti in the role of a responsible forester and Majid Pataki in the role of one of the wood smugglers have portrayed the two main characters opposite each other. Also, Salman Khati, Alireza Osyond, Milad Mirzaei, Manouchehr Alipour, Farideh Daryamaj, Hamidreza Ebrahimi, Maryam Khodarahmi, Afshin Sengchap, Sepideh Pahlvanzadeh, Morteza Zare, Mehyar Mujib, Mobeen Rastgar, Zindyad Mehrdad Falahatgar, Bahman Amir Soleimani and many other artists have played roles in this collection.
“Sarakhdar” was produced and directed by Masoud Farkhande and written by Akbar Rooh and Sara Rashidi. Arash Seifi and Hadi Shalavand are the cinematographers, Qasim Khodabandelo is the editor, Morteza Shafi is the composer, Mohammad Mohammadi is the set and costume designer, and Sayeda Mahro Ghorbani is the make-up designer of this collection.
“Sarakhdar” by using the native capacities and the eye-catching nature of the north of the country, tries to portray the importance of protecting natural resources and combating the destruction of forests to the audience in the form of a dramatic narrative.
