The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is sure that in 2026 the implementation of the TRIPP project will begin on the ground.
“Armenpress”According to the report, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this while presenting the pre-election program of the ruling “Civil Agreement” party.
“I am sure that we will start the works on the ground already in 2026. According to my calculations, the fastest way would be to put the power transmission lines into operation. This project will also create many jobs, and I hope that we will provide jobs through Armenian citizens, and companies will not have to attract labor from other countries.
Reconstruction of Gyumri-Turkey border and Yeraskh-Nakhijevan border railway sections, we will do this very quickly, within 1-1.5 years,” said Pashinyan.
One of the points of the “Economic Development” section of the pre-election program of the “Civil Pact” party refers to the start of the implementation of the TRIPP (Trump Path for International Peace and Prosperity) investment project, at least with the launch of railway and electric transmission infrastructure.
One of the points of the same section refers to the reconstruction of Gyumri-Turkey border and Yeraskh-Nakhijevan border railway sections.
It is noted that the complete unblocking of the region’s transport infrastructure, including both the implementation of the TRIPP project and the commissioning of the Gyumri-Kars railway, will not only further strengthen peace and cooperation in the region, but will also turn it into an important node of east-west and north-south connectivity, the Crossroads of Peace.
TRIPP is an Armenian-American joint investment project, the agreement on which was reached during the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace summit held in Washington on August 8 with the mediation of US President Donald Trump. TRIPP will also ensure the connection of the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan.
