The Prime Minister of Lebanon headed the government Nawaf Salam A preparatory meeting was held to discuss steps related to the return of residents to South Lebanon He launched the recovery phase, directing all ministries, departments and concerned parties to follow up on the return of people to their villages and towns.
Salam stressed the need to complete the damage survey, expedite the removal of rubble, open roads, and restore electricity, water and communications services, in addition to continuing to assess the damage to infrastructure and public facilities.

He explained that the government will benefit from the funds previously allocated within the LEAP program, in addition to the funds available to the High Relief Commission and the Southern Council, to launch urgent initiatives that support return and recovery efforts.
Salam said: “The people of the south did not leave their land of their own free will, and it is our duty to stand by their side to ensure their dignified return.”
