Sergio Estigarribia, mayor of Villa Elisa, asked the PLRA Board of Directors that the party hit the table “hard” to condition alliances and force Yo Creo and Cruzada Nacional to make their mayoral candidates resign in the 70 liberal districts. The brother of the governor of Central and 2028 presidential candidate Ricardo Estigarribia, insisted that in his city both groups are financed by the ANR to truncate his re-election.
Sergio Estigarribiamayor of Villa Elisa who is seeking re-election, participated in the first session of the Board of Directors of the Authentic Radical Liberal Party (PLRA) chaired by Alcides Riveros and asked to condition other fraternal parties that their candidates for mayor resign in the districts currently administered by liberals.
“One has to respect the leaderships. We are talking about one hundred and twenty districts where there are more than two candidates but we as a party can hit the table hard”, he noted.
“It was very difficult for us, as liberals, to get to that place (the mayoralties), so the Board of Directors has to make a statement; the districts where we have the current mayoralty should remain in charge of that leadership and the remaining forty, fifty that go with the measurements”, he stated.

“Today in my district, in the city of Villa Elisa, unfortunately there are two forces from the third space: I believe and National Crusadel, which are financed by the Colorado Party. Divide and triumph. They are merely there only to divide and not for anything else,” he asserted.
