The Municipality of Prilep received specialized utility vehicles, bins for waste selection and containers, through the project for the improvement of the waste management system.
The new equipment was promoted by Mayor Dejan Prodanoski
and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ane Laskoska.
– For Prilep households, 8,318 bins of 120 liters have been provided for primary waste selection, while 126 new containers of 1.1 m³ will be placed in the city and will replace worn out and damaged waste containers. Within the framework of the project, Prilep also receives a total of 9 specialized waste collection vehicles, three of which have already been delivered, and the rest will arrive in the coming period. This significantly improves the working conditions of PUC “Komunalec” and increases the efficiency in maintaining public hygiene – says Mayor Prodanoski.
In addition, the procedure for the procurement and installation of 48 semi-underground containers, an investment worth more than 18.6 million denars, provided by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, is ongoing.
For years, Prilep has been one of the leaders in waste selection and environmental protection.
These investments further strengthen the capacities of the city and create better conditions for a cleaner and healthier living environment.
