According to the online economy report, quoted by Mehr, Isa Bagherzadeh Homai, director general of the quality assessment office of Iran’s National Organization for Export and Import, said about the car import process: Car imports are being carried out according to the established criteria, and it is obvious that the cars that enter the country must have international standard certificates.
He added: These certificates must be provided from the origin and in addition to that, we also randomly inspect the cars inside the country and at the customs.
This official continued: Cars do not need much time to be evaluated, and as soon as the car is declared at the customs, the inspection companies approved by Iran’s National Standard Organization evaluate the car. If it has the necessary certificate and approval, a physical inspection will be done, otherwise the car must be returned.
Referring to the implementation criteria, Bagherzadeh emphasized: the implementation methods are clear and these criteria should be studied, because the car may not have received a certificate from us, but it has the approval of the origin that was considered by the government board.
He went on to explain: According to the law on organizing the automobile industry and related regulations, if a car enters the country, we will adapt it to the existing regulations and act according to the same regulations.
In the end, the director general of the quality assessment office for export and import goods of Iran’s national standard organization noted: the criterion of our action is to comply with the laws and regulations set by the government in the field of car import, and if these conditions are met, the car will definitely be allowed to enter.
