KUWAIT: Health Ministry Undersecretary Sheikh Dr Salman Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah issued a decision Saturday establishing daily “quiet hours” from 10 pm to 6 am in hospital wards to reduce unnecessary disruptions to patient rest, exempting emergency and critical care units.
Visiting hours were expanded to 3-8 pm daily, with 9 am-1 pm sessions on holidays and extended hours through 9 pm during Ramadan.
The decision caps simultaneous visitor numbers and allows one same-sex companion per patient, with exceptions for humanitarian cases at the discretion of the medical authority chief. — KUNA
