Guille Columbus has announced his retirement from basketball. The ex-player and ex-captain of the MoraBank Andorra posted a video on social media to explain his decision to quit professional sportremembering his career and thanking both his family, the clubs where he has played, as well as the Andorran Basketball Federation because “the national team has been the place where I have enjoyed playing basketball the most.”
Columbus went into the military during seven seasons at MoraBanc Andorra in the ACB where he contested 95 duels of the Spanish competition, a more than 41 matches in the Eurocup, where it ended up becoming captain of the entity. In addition, with the national team he got several medals a the European Small States, and in the 2021 edition he was also chosen MVP. When he left the MoraBank Andorra after the 2021 relegation, Columbus signed for Peñas Huesca of the LEB Orand later joined the CB Zaragozawhere he has played for the last three seasons.
