Jordanian national team coach, Jamal Al-Salami, said that the Algeria match in the second round of the 2026 World Cup group stage will be strong and important.
The Jordanian coach confirmed that he hopes that his squad during the upcoming match will be more effective offensively and more solid in defence, compared to the match against Austria.
Al-Salami spoke about the Algerian team, and said in the press conference that preceded the match: “This team naturally has players with great talent, and this match will be, above all, a confrontation against our brothers, and both teams will enter the match in order to achieve victory.”
He added: “Algeria has distinguished elements, whether in the starting lineup or on the bench. We know that many of its players are capable of making a difference in individual confrontations, and we will work to implement the most appropriate plan to reduce their danger.”
He continued: “The Algerian national team is certainly not in its best state morally, after its first loss, and we will try to exploit that. We should not draw wrong conclusions from the Argentina match. “They played against the world champions.”
Jamal Al-Salami expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to provide the required performance against Algeria.
