The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, was received this Sunday evening by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statement, Minister Attaf delivered to his Jordanian counterpart the written message addressed by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to King Abdullah II.
The statement added that the delegations of the two countries held extensive discussions during which the two ministers reviewed the reality of the existing bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, and ways to advance them to higher levels, in accordance with the desire of the leaders of the two countries to consolidate the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between Algeria and Jordan.
In this context, the two sides stressed their keenness to strengthen cooperation and partnership relations, especially in priority areas, such as trade, health, agriculture and the pharmaceutical industry. They also agreed to hold the tenth session of the Joint Committee as soon as possible and to activate the Business Council in order to give greater momentum to bilateral relations.
At the multilateral level, the two ministers exchanged views and visions regarding regional and international issues of common interest. The two ministers also renewed the two countries’ firm and principled position regarding the Palestinian issue, while renewing their support for the inalienable right of the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
