Al-Shahid Al-Hafiz, June 22, 2026 (SPS) – Member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, Mr. Al-Bashir Mustafa Al-Sayyid, confirmed today, Monday, at the headquarters of the National Council, that the work of the spring session of the National Council was devoted to enhancing cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive authorities, and addressing a number of issues related to the reality of society and its basic needs through a series of activities and formative lectures.
The President of the National Council explained that the course program included topics aimed at training and education in various fields of living reality, which contributes to developing institutional performance and responding to the challenges facing society.
Mr. Al-Bashir Mustafa Al-Sayed pointed out the importance of enhancing the security of society in its various dimensions, whether by maintaining stability, or ensuring basic services for citizens, most notably the provision of water, food, and education.
He also stressed the importance of health security and the necessity of adopting preventive policies that protect society, in addition to working to protect generations from various pests and challenges that may affect their future.
Speaking about technological transformations, the President of the National Council stressed that the current generations face challenges and opportunities related to smart technology, which requires keeping up with developments, deepening research and benefiting from these technologies in vital fields, especially health and education.
He added that investing in knowledge and human energies represents the basis of progress, stressing that the strength of countries is not measured only by the natural resources they possess, but rather by the ability of their minds and competencies to create, innovate and develop various fields.
He called for continuing to work to make technology and knowledge tools for the advancement of society and enhancing institution building, in a way that serves the aspirations of the Sahrawi people. (SPA)
