The National Oil Corporation (NOC) and its subsidiaries accounted for more than 70% of scientific papers presented at the PetroAfrica 2026 conference in Tunis.
The contributions were part of more than 103 research papers covering exploration, production, refining, environmental issues, renewable energy and artificial intelligence.
The NOC also chaired the event’s scientific committee. The conference, one of Africa’s key oil and gas industry gatherings, runs through June 19 and includes participation from companies, institutions and experts across the7 continent and beyond.
In a statement on Thursday, the NOC said it also showcased Libya’s oil and gas projects and investment opportunities through an interactive exhibition stand, providing technical insights and engaging with industry stakeholders.
The corporation said the participation reflects the NOC’s push to expand its international presence, deepen cooperation and exchange expertise with global energy players.
