one former chef of a hotel establishment in Sant Julià de Lòria has been condemned today for Court of Courts a ten months of conditional imprisonment as the author of a major crime of non-conditional threats with a weapon. The sentence, notified this Wednesday, also agreed that the defendant compensates the victim with 1,000 euros in terms of civil liability for the damages caused.
The resolution considered accredited that the managed 57, goes making death threats against his superior in the framework of a labor dispute that had dragged on for some time. The events took place at the end of August 2020, when the defendant had a bad relationship with the kitchen manager, with whom he had shared years of professional experience.
During the trial, the Prosecutor’s Office he maintained that the former head chef had repeatedly expressed his desire to kill the superiorboth in front of co-workers and in front of the victim’s relatives. According to the public ministry, the accused had gone so far as to affirm that, if his head was found, he would “crack it”while carrying a razor.
The the defense denied that there was a real threat and asked for the defendant’s acquittalarguing that the manifestations attributed to his client had occurred in a context of work tension and personal discomfort. However, the Court of Courts has concluded that the facts were constitutive of a major crime of non-conditional threats with a weapon and has chosen to impose a lower penalty than the one originally requested by the tax ministry.
