According to the online economy report, quoted by Isna, Sadegh Ziyaian said about the forecast of the weather conditions in the country’s mountainous regions during Thursday and Friday (June 28 and 29): During this period, the activity of unstable currents and the continuation of convective rains in the northwest highlands, the Alborz highlands and the northeast highlands, especially in the afternoon and evening, cloudy and foggy weather, showers, thunderstorms, the possibility of hail and strong winds. Torrential rains, especially for North West Azarbaijan, East Azarbaijan and Ardabil, lead to floods and runoff, increase in water in rivers and valleys, and the possibility of rock falls.
He further pointed out the intensification of daily air heating in most regions of the country and heatstroke and damage caused by the increase in ultraviolet radiation in the middle of the day.
The head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks, stating that strong wind is the most important weather phenomenon in most mountainous regions of Iran, said: there is dust rising in susceptible areas and the possibility of being thrown in the ridges.
He said about the weather conditions in the north of Tehran during the last days of the week: the sky in these areas will be clear to partly cloudy with strong winds, clouds will increase in the afternoon hours, and scattered showers and thunderstorms and the possibility of hail are expected in the high peaks.
Ziyaian emphasized: due to the nature of torrential rains and the possibility of lightning and hail, activities related to the mountains, such as mountain climbing, trekking, nature tourism, canyoning, etc., should be avoided. Strong winds are not far from expected in most peaks and high ridges, so take necessary precautions to avoid the risk of being thrown.
He added: Due to the intensification of daily heating, there is a risk of heat stroke for people on the navigation routes. Appropriate measures should be taken to avoid heatstroke. Due to the increase in ultraviolet rays in the middle of the day, appropriate safety and protective equipment should be considered to minimize the damage caused by these conditions.
In the end, Ziyaian said: Considering the seasonal process of snow melting in the high peaks in the northern highlands of the country, there is a possibility of breaking and breaking the remaining snow masks and falling snow, so precautionary measures should be taken in this regard. Due to the increased risk of rock fall in susceptible routes, avoid camping and camping on slopes with a high potential for rock fall.
