According to the plans, in this year’s Arbaeen, citizens living in Iran will go to Karbala from the border of Shalamcheh in Hosseini’s Arbaeen.
Khuzestan governor’s security-order deputy announced the establishment of “Arbain media center” for better coordination in the dissemination of information and emphasized on the centralized management of foreign pilgrims from the “Chatabeh” border and equipping the commercial hall of this border as the main reception base.
According to Iran Radio and Television, Waliullah Khaiti, Deputy Governor of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement affairs, announced at the meeting of Arbaeen Hosseini provincial headquarters that the Arbaeen media center will be set up in this province under the responsibility of the governor’s public relations department so that information can be sent to all provinces of Iran in a timely manner.
In another part of his speech, Mr. Khaiti stated that foreign nationals will cross the Shalamcheh border and non-residents will cross the Chabah border. He added that Pakistani nationals are expected to enter this border this year. Some of them enter Ahvaz by private vehicles or public cars, and some by air, and necessary planning must be done to transport them to Chazaba.
The Deputy Governor of Khuzestan, referring to the preparation of the Chazaba commercial hall as the main terminal for the reception of nationals, emphasized that the gates of this hall should be installed and other halls should be considered only for emergencies and the management of heavy waves of pilgrims.
Recalling the capacity of the commercial hall to accept up to five thousand pilgrims daily, he stated that in this hall, the pilgrims are grouped in groups of 500 people and the process of their exit will be done quickly. According to him, emergency gates should also be active for necessary times.
Hayati further emphasized on the separation of the traffic route of domestic pilgrims and foreign nationals and said: the entrance route of the commercial hall should be prepared and equipped with the priority of proper access so that no problems arise in the movement of pilgrims.
