Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif signed the Islamabad MoU as a mediator
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the public relations office of the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad published the pictures of the signing of the Islamabad Agreement by Shahbaz Sharif moments ago.
The brief statement of the Prime Minister’s Palace of Pakistan states: The Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Donald Trump, the President of the United States, and Dr. Masoud Al-Bazikian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The war between the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran began on the morning of February 9, 1404 (February 28, 2026). After 40 days of all-out conflict, while the decisive responses of the Iranian armed forces in various operations, including shooting down advanced enemy fighters, targeting American warships in southern waters and closing the Strait of Hormuz, according to military sources, had led the other side to a military stalemate, the United States and the Zionist regime were forced to request a ceasefire and start negotiations.
Finally, on April 20, 1405, a temporary ceasefire agreement was announced with the mediation of Pakistan, and direct negotiations between Iran and the United States began in Islamabad. However, in the future, the United States and the Zionist regime violated the ceasefire agreement and faced a decisive response from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the morning of 25 June 1405 (June 15, 2026), Pakistan, as the main mediator, announced the achievement of a peace agreement between Iran and the United States, and on June 28 (June 18), the Islamabad Memorandum was signed by the presidents of the two countries.
According to this memorandum, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, have ended, and the naval blockade against Iran has also been completely ended.
Military analysts believe that what brought America to the negotiating table was its inability to face decisive and surprising responses from Iran’s armed forces; An issue that they believed showed that no violation will remain without a regrettable answer.
