
Harare, June 18, 2026 (SPS)_The President of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Mr. Emerson Dumbudzo Mnangagwa, received Mr. Mohamed Yeslam Bisset, Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, as a special envoy of President Brahim Ghali, President of the Sahrawi Republic.
During the meeting, the Special Envoy delivered a written message from President Brahim Ghali to Zimbabwean President, Mr. Mnangagwa, related to the recent developments taking place in the Sahrawi issue and the peace efforts sponsored by the United Nations.
During the interview, the Zimbabwean President renewed his country’s absolute and unconditional solidarity with the struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence, and expressed his satisfaction with the level of relations linking his country with the Sahrawi Republic, and expressed his sincere will to continue strengthening relations between the two countries to always be at the level of fraternal and combative relations that have always linked our peoples and our two countries for years of joint struggle against colonialism, racial discrimination and foreign occupation.
The interview took place at the Presidential Palace and in the presence of His Excellency Minister Frederic Shava, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Khalil Galili. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Shanbandi, Secretary-General of the Ministry, Ambassador Chigekezi, Director of Multilateral Relations, and many senior officials in the Zimbabwean Presidency and Foreign Ministry.
