Antonelli, who only failed to win in Australia, in the first stage, then climbed onto the first step of the podium in China, Japan, the USA (at the Miami GP) and Canada.
Lewis Hamilton finished in second place (Ferrari), ranked third Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) on four and Isack Hadjar (Red Bull Racing) on five.
The top 10 is completed by Franco Colapinto (Alpine), Lian Lawson (Racing Bulls), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Carlos Sainz (Williams) and Oliver Bearman (Haas).
Started from pole positionGeorge Russell (Mercedes) retired on lap 30.
“It was a very interesting fight with George, we went to the limit and it wasn’t easy today because of the wind. It’s a shame he had a breakdown, because we would have had a close fight, but we accept the situation. Many thanks to the team.
When I was alone I had to manage the tyres, but I had a good pace, so now I’m looking forward to the next race,” said Kimi Antonelli at the end.
