The Transparency Board has published the new prices for fuel trading in the country.
The price of oil has suffered a decrease of 4 Lek and will not be traded more than 176 Lek/liter. Meanwhile, gasoline has suffered a decrease of 2 Lek and will not be sold for more than 166 Lek/liter.
The prices set by the Board will come into force today at 17:00 and will be valid until the next meeting of the Board where the changes in the sales prices will be reflected.
Notice:
The Transparency Board on June 17, 2026, at the next meeting, decided:
✅The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should be no more than 176 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 164 ALL/liter.
✅The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 166 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 154 ALL/liter.
🗓️The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, 17:00 at 13:00 and will be valid until the next meeting of the Board where the changes in the sales prices will be reflected.
⚠️We draw the attention of every wholesale and retail operator of oil by-products on the obligation to implement this decision.
🚫 In case of violations found by different operators, the suspension of the activity will be imposed.
🛢️ The Ministry of Economy and Innovation together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and maintaining the principles of fair competition in the market.
CLARIFICATION: Referring to Normative Act no. 1, Date 3.4.2026 “For an addition to Law No. 61/2012, “On excise duties in the Republic of Albania,” amended, where it is provided that in case the retail price for diesel is higher than 220 lek/liter, or for gasoline is higher than 200 lek/liter, the 80% level of excise duty is applied. Based on the application of the methodology for calculating retail ceiling prices, the prices are below the limit of Normative Act no. 1, dated 3.4.2026, and therefore the excise duty level will be applied in full, 100%.
Gasoil for fishing – the sale price of gasoil for fishing, referring to Law 9975, dated 28.07.2008 “On National taxes”, in article Article 9 “Exemptions from the payment of national taxes”, point 6 provides: “Fishing vessels are exempted from paying circulation tax and carbon tax. Also referring to article 10, point 3 letters “d” of Law 61/2012 “On excise duties in RSH” provides for the exemption from excise duty for fishing vessels, in the quantities, conditions and criteria defined in VKM. Referring to the methodology defined in the normative act, the sale price of diesel fuel for fishing results in 81 ALL.
