The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology launched the “Hukoomi” platform in its new look, in a strategic step that enhances the digital transformation process in the country and supports achieving the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The new platform is considered the first fruit of the “Digital Factory” initiative launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to be an engine for government services and digital innovation in the country, by integrating technology, data and design within a unified platform that enhances the benefit of advanced digital infrastructure, and enables integration between agencies and unified governance across various government agencies.
His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said that the launch of the new version of “Hukoomi” as an advanced digital interface for the Digital Factory initiative reflects the State of Qatar’s firm commitment to accelerating the pace of comprehensive digital transformation and achieving the goals of the 2030 Digital Agenda, within the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
His Excellency added: “Through this platform, we aim to improve the experience of digital government services and provide effective and easy services that are human-centered and meet their aspirations, which embodies our commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing the quality of life. We also work to enable all members of society and its institutions to benefit from it in a modern and more efficient manner, which enhances the competitiveness of the State of Qatar and contributes to supporting the process of development and prosperity.”
His Excellency explained that the “Digital Factory” represents a new model of government work based on cooperation and flexibility, and puts the user at the center of all its services.
He pointed out that what has been achieved goes beyond infrastructure to what is an integrated framework that enables ministries and agencies to innovate and provide unified, high-quality services that meet the aspirations of citizens and residents. It also contributes to supporting the objectives of the third national development strategy (2024-2030), by enhancing the integration of digital government services, raising their efficiency and ease of access, and establishing key concepts, most important of which are more integrated government services, the highest level of trust, and more prepared for the future.
The upgraded version includes six main life moments, which are getting married, winter camping, owning a falcon, owning a boat, benefiting from social care, and managing retirement, and many integrated digital services fall under them, provided that there will be a gradual expansion in adding new life moments and digital services, in addition to services related to the business sector and others within future versions of the platform to keep pace with society’s needs and renewed aspirations.
For her part, Ms. Mishael Ali Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Government Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, said that the upgraded version of “Hukoomi” constitutes an advanced stage in the process of developing digital government services in the State of Qatar, as the platform has moved from being an information portal for introducing services to an integrated interactive platform that enables users to access government services and complete them directly through the Hukoomi platform, within a more easy and connected experience.
She added that among the technical updates contained in the Hukoomi platform is the single sign-on feature, which enables the user to view the personal file and track government activities and transactions, in addition to requesting support around the clock and smart interaction through advanced search and the virtual assistant.
She pointed out that the launch of “Hukoomi” with the concept of Moments of Life reflects a new trend in the design and provision of digital government services, by providing services in a coherent and easier manner. The platform was designed to be capable of continuous development and updating, allowing for the addition of Moments of Life and new digital services in the future.
The “Hukoomi” platform is characterized by advanced digital capabilities that enhance the user experience and make it easier and smoother, as it provides a unified platform that allows users to access various digital government services with ease and efficiency, and enables users to view the personal file, follow government activities and transactions, request support around the clock, and access saved documents, in addition to tracking and managing its registered assets, such as boats, falcons, and others.
The Hukoomi platform supports smart interaction through advanced search and virtual assistants, in addition to providing a flexible user experience that includes single sign-on, multilingualism, and different display options, within a safe and reliable digital environment that contributes to improving the quality of digital government services in the State of Qatar.
The “Hukoomi” platform launches with a contemporary visual identity that reflects Qatar’s culture and ambitious vision, embodying cohesive ties, sustainable growth, and a harmonious fusion between ancient heritage and renewed innovation.
This identity derives its elements from the historical and cultural roots of the State of Qatar, embodying the authenticity of the national identity and its aspirations for the future. The platform’s colors mix between shades of purple inspired by Bin Ghannam Island, dark green, which represents the color of the flag of the State of Qatar, and shades of color inspired by the sands of the Qatari desert, to form a visual identity that takes inspiration from the elements of the sea and land and reflects the Qatari culture and the spirit of cooperation and innovation.
