The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, in collaboration with the sponsoring company Intercity Buses, informs the passenger public that from Saturday 13 June 2026 the routes of the Nicosia – Ayia Napa/ Paralimni line will be strengthened during the morning hours, and of the Paralimni/ Ayia Napa – Nicosia line during the afternoon hours.
The strengthening of routes responds to the increased demand observed during the summer season for travel to Ayia Napa and the wider area of the free Famagusta. OR Ayia Napa is one of the most popular summer destinations in Cyprus, attracting a significant number of visitors, especially young people, pupils and students.
The additional routes provide more travel options to and from Ayia Napa and Protaras, facilitating access using public passenger transport and supporting safe, organized and more sustainable travel during the summer months.
The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the Ministry to upgrade the provided public passenger transport services, enhance accessibility and provide reliable and attractive travel options for the benefit of the citizens and visitors of Cyprus.
