According to Jam Jam Online, the Director General of the Parents and Trainers’ Association of the Ministry of Education explained the most important rules and policies related to students’ uniforms in the academic year 1406-1405 and announced the ministry’s emphasis on reducing the costs of families and avoiding schools from constantly changing uniforms.
Pointing to the importance of school uniforms for families, Atefeh Sadat Madbaranjad said: the preparation of school uniforms is done according to Article 85 of the executive regulations of schools, and the guidelines for organizing and monitoring student uniforms have been notified to all schools in the country in May this year.
He added: According to the executive regulations of the schools, determining the type and color of student clothes with the participation of the student council is the responsibility of the school council, and the process of preparing it is also done with the participation of the parents and teachers association.
The Director General of Parents and Educators Association emphasized on paying attention to Islamic-Iranian identity and ethnic identities in the design of school uniforms and said: In addition to cultural values, the taste and wishes of students should also be considered in the selection and design of school uniforms.
He further mentioned the holding of the second festival of designing and sewing student clothes and added: This festival was held with the aim of paying attention to the cultural identity and tastes of students, and many works in the free and student sections were sent to the festival secretariat.
Madbarnjad pointed out that the selected designs of this festival will soon be uploaded to the student clothing system and will be provided to schools as suggested models so that school administrators can have a more accurate understanding of the students’ taste in choosing the design and color of the clothes.
Referring to the supporting policies of the Ministry of Education to reduce the costs of families, he said: It has been emphasized to schools all over the country to refrain from changing the design and color of school uniforms as much as possible in the new academic year.
The General Director of the Parents and Teachers Association added: If the students’ uniforms from last year are still usable, families can use the same uniforms in the next school year without having to buy new uniforms.
He also explained about how to determine the price of school uniforms: the price of school uniforms is determined based on the type of fabric and other effective components, and the responsibility for pricing rests with the departments of industry, mining and trade and related trade unions.
In the end, Medbranjad emphasized: The Ministry of Education has no role in determining or approving the rate of school uniforms and only supervises the correct implementation of rules and guidelines related to school uniforms.
