Director of the Hatta Police Station, Brigadier General Mubarak Al Ketbi, said that the command and control center in the General Operations Department of Dubai Police received a report stating that there was a lost young man in the Hatta mountains and was requesting help to rescue him.
Brigadier General Mubarak Al Ketbi explained that upon receiving the report, the “Brave Squad” consisting of the “Reconnaissance” and “Rescue” teams, along with the Hatta Police Station patrols, the National Ambulance plane, the Dubai Police Air Wing plane, the difficult missions team at the General Department of Transport and Rescue, the National Guard patrols, and a crew of paramedics from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, moved to the Hatta Mountains area, where these teams made a great effort to reach the young man’s location, for several reasons, The most notable of which are the inaccuracy of the location of the report, the rugged mountainous area, the high altitude, and other reasons, pointing out that the report was dealt with with great professionalism based on the experience of the members of those teams, and after the search process, the young man was found, and the necessary medical care was provided to him.

Brigadier General Al Ketbi confirmed that the Hatta Police Station is ready to deal with reports of emergency incidents, whether in mountainous areas or valleys, or to deal with various incidents in the region that is popular with tourists due to its nature, which includes mountains, valleys and dams.
He explained that the Hatta Police Station has security patrols that have special advantages over regular patrols in their ability to travel in rugged areas due to their tires designated for this type of area, in addition to containing the latest smart devices and modern technologies in communicating with the command and control center, and providing all the equipment used in rescue and providing support and assistance, stressing that the police personnel in these patrols are trained to deal with various types of emergency situations with high professionalism and around the clock.

Brigadier General Mubarak Al-Ketbi added that the Al-Shuja’an Division is always working to carry out rescue operations and ensure effectiveness, and is always ready to respond to any emergency incidents, indicating that the Division is equipped with all equipment aimed at enhancing its capabilities to respond quickly to emergency reports, including various mechanical equipment, cars modified to deal with mountains, “LED” headlights, various heavy equipment, the “TETRA” radio device, screens, cameras, and a live transportation system from the accident site to the command and control center, to In addition to the latest modified motorcycles, including four-wheelers, and drones that use thermal lighting at night, and others that use regular cameras during the day.

Brigadier General Mubarak Al Ketbi urged members of the public to quickly call the emergency number 999 at the Dubai Police Command and Control Center or use the “SOS” distress service on the Dubai Police application if they are exposed to an emergency accident in mountainous and valley areas, and to describe the location accurately and clearly in order to quickly respond to the report because of this great importance in helping those in need, in addition to adhering to the specified routes and not deviating from them.
